In this series of classes you will have the opportunity to learn everything you need to begin to do natal chart interpretation for yourself and others. Dana enjoys teaching because it is an opportunity to educate people about astrology, which often has a stigma attached to it. Some people say that they don’t “believe” in astrology. Astrology is not a “belief system.” It is a symbolic and archetypal language and a tool that can be used to obtain understanding about every aspect of life. It is good that there are astrologers who are willing to interpret other people’s charts because not everyone has the time or interest to learn how to use astrology. However, with some basic knowledge of astrology a person will have the potential to interpret their own natal chart better than anyone else ever could. This is because they may have the motivation, the time, and the insight to use the natal chart as a tool to help navigate through life in the most personal way, and it is there for them to explore at any time. The natal chart as well as other charts (please see “Chart Readings” above), are all tools that are there for anyone to learn and use. Taking a basic series of classes like this Level I class may start a person on a fascinating journey of self-discovery, understanding other people, and life in general. It will also make it much easier to comprehend readings given to you by other people.
Included in the classes is the study of the planets, signs, houses, aspects, and other important points in the chart.
This class series consists of 7 classes and the full price for the series is $100.00. The first class is a trial class with no commitment required and the cost is $20.00. This allows participants to see if they want to make a commitment for the full series. For participants who want to continue on with the series, $80.00 will be due at the 2nd class meeting and will be non-refundable.
Instead of having this class meet at the same date and time every week, a date will be set for the first class meeting dependent on the registered participant’s schedules. The dates for the following 6 classes will be decided upon as a group, maybe even class by class. This type of scheduling will allow for possibly changing schedules and also to allow for more time than a week to absorb the material, if needed.

In this workshop you will learn how to use transits and progressions which are the two tools most used by astrologers in helping to understand why life is the way it is at a particular time. Having a basic understanding of the natal chart, seeing the changes in our life circumstances and in the self and then seeing how the transits and progressions are affecting the natal chart, can put everything into perspective. These tools also give one a time frame and a focus which can help one to make the most of the transitions, and be more conscious of the process of growth and change. You may use these tools to look at the present, the past, and also to look ahead at future trends.
Once you have a grasp on natal chart interpretation you can also understand composite charts because the same techniques of interpretation are used but instead of interpreting the chart of an individual you will be interpreting the chart of a relationship, the blending of two peoples's energies together. Synastry requires a good understanding of the astrological basics of planets, signs, houses and aspects. Having an understanding of astrology gives one an understanding of other people and relationships with them, like nothing else can.
